Events 2020

Christmas Craft Club 2020

11am of the 11th day of the 11th month, we will remember.

Although the current circumstances are different, we couldn't let our children completely miss out on a Halloween Party and the opportunity to dress up with and/or scare their friends!

From Whitby Foodbank - Thank you so much to Goathland Primary School for the wonderful harvest festival donation to Whitby Foodbank. These are tough times for so many people and all the food, and the love that goes with it, is much appreciated. Thank you all

Ducklings March 2020

We hatched 6 ducklings in Base 1.

Flamingo Land March 2020

World Book Day 2020!

St Josephs Theatre

The whole school visited St Josephs Theatre and Scarborough Art Gallery in March. They had a wonderful day participating in drama workshops, having a picnic and then learning about colour and light at the gallery.

Planetarium

Base 1 and 2 enjoyed an immersive space experience in a planetarium. The children loved looking at constellations, galaxies and experiencing what it would be like to look down on earth from the International Space Station. Mrs Summerson also gave the children a selection of REAL astronaut food. The freeze dried ice-cream and apple were a surprise hit!

Goathland Plough Stots - Day of Dance

The Goathland Plough Stots is one of Yorkshires traditional sword teams, if not the oldest still dancing their own dance as far back as the early 19th century. Goathland Primary School ks2 children are taught the dances on a Friday afternoon as part of the school curriculum. The children danced their way around the village on the 18th January 2020. This is the first time a team from the school had been fielded at the Day of Dance in over 20 years. We were very proud of our children on this momentous occasion.
