The children also held a piece of rock older than the dinosaurs which was found 1,500 meters below sea level and took 2 years of digging to reach!

Our Sports Day was looking very uncertain after the downpours on Monday and Tuesday but what a fabulous Sports Day 2019 was! The sun came out (a bit too much), races were run, teams triumphed and trophies were won. Thank you for providing a fantastic picnic and for joining in with our family game of rounders, which was a great success.

Base 1 welcomed 10 eggs into their classroom in February. By day 3 the eggs had started to hatch. All 10 hen eggs successfully hatched within 24 hours. For 2 weeks the children wrote about them, drew them, stroked them and fed them. They were such a wonderful addition to the school and they're now living at a nearby farm as free range chickens so we hope to eat their eggs very soon!
